• Crombleholme named Surgeon-in-Chief in Colorado

    Tim Crombleholme, MD, takes a new role as Surgeon-in-Chief in Colorado.

    Timothy Crombleholme, MD, left Cincinnati Children’s, effective Oct. 1, to join the Children's Hospital Colorado as Surgeon-in-Chief. 

    Crombleholme had served as director of the Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati, which he helped launch in 2004. He is a leader in the field of fetal surgery and pediatric surgery.

    Foong-Yen Lim, MD, a fetal surgeon at Cincinnati Children’s, and William Polzin, MD, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist from Good Samaritan Hospital, are currently leading the fetal program. Ronald Jaekle, MD, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist from University Hospital, continues as associate director of the program.

    Prior to joining Cincinnati Children's, Crombleholme was part of the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and was director of the Fetal Treatment Program at the New England Medical Center in Boston.

    Crombleholme's research work includes an NIH-funded multicenter trial to compare treatments for twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS ) and research on new techniques for open fetal surgery and fetoscopic surgery.
