Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) University™

CRRT University™ is designed for health care providers caring for infants, children and / or adults receiving Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). This one and one-half day course combines interactive didactic small course instruction (five hours) with a full day simulation course. Medical professionals (RN and MD) are provided with an integrated platform to acquire new skills and abilities that will:

• Improve aptitude in caring for CRRT patients
• Increase working knowledge of the CRRT machine and ability to troubleshoot alarms
• Enhance abilities to navigate and adapt to complex situations involving CRRT
• Develop strategies for addressing challenging communication issues and program structure.

At the Center for Acute Care Nephrology, we provide care to critically ill patients using many different forms of dialysis for their acute care needs. In order to provide the best care, guidelines, policies and procedures have been created to ensure that we are providing a standardized method.

Note: The participants meet at 'Location B' Welcome Desk at 11:30 am on Day One and 7:30 am on Day Two to be escorted to CRRT University.

Day One:
Pre-course workshop: 10 am – 11:30 am (Snacks & drinks provided)
Course Day One: 11:30 am – 5 pm (Lunch)

Day Two:
8 am – 4:30 pm (Breakfast and Lunch)
