Rheumatology Research
Research is an essential part of the mission of this division, which is the home of several NIH funded pediatric rheumatology centers, including the Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Center. Basic science, translational and clinical research have all been very productive, and the capacity to expand research efforts has been enhanced by the gradual strengthening of our infrastructure.
The Clinical Trials Unit within the Division of Rheumatology currently serves as the Coordinating Center of the Pediatric Rheumatology Collaborative Study Group (PRCSG), a group of pediatric rheumatology professionals dedicated to performing high-quality clinical research in pediatric rheumatic diseases.
Professional Training
Professional Training is an important part of the program in our division. Medical students, resident doctors, fellows and other healthcare professionals are involved in our teaching program.
Additionally, the division is a resource for international senior physician training, educational mentoring experiences and research opportunities for visiting professors and allied health professionals.
