Rallying the Community to Give Hope to Children

WARM98 Radiothon

The first annual WARM98 Cares for Kids Radiothon benefiting Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical center was a huge success. For four days, morning personalities Dean Miuccio and Bobbi Maxwell broadcast live from the hospital lobby, talking to patient families and medical center staff, while employees and volunteers worked at the phone bank taking pledges. The event raised $286,000 in pledges for Cincinnati Children's and increased community awareness of the medical center's services. One of the parents interviewed during the radiothon was Juli Bick, pictured at left with her husband, Greg, and daughter, Arianna. Now 4, Arianna was diagnosed with a rare and severe form of epilepsy when she was 5 months old. Juli says that the hospital staff has become like an extended family. Because of her passion for the hospital, when Juli had the opportunity to apply for a job at Cincinnati Children's, she jumped at the chance. Today she is an employee in the Marketing and Communications Department.
