- Served patients from 59 countries and all 50 states since 2006
- Continued collaborative teaching, clinical and quality arrangements with King Fahad Medical City Children’s Hospital in Saudi Arabia, and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, as well as formal exchange programs with hospitals in Europe, the Middle East, China and India

- Offer 15 patient care sites throughout the region
- Operate the only Level I pediatric trauma center in the Greater Cincinnati area, and the only pediatric cardiac intensive care unit in the region
- Serve as a safety net for children’s mental health needs with an average of 40,000 calls each year to the Psychiatric Intake Response Center, an information and referral phone service
- Provided injury prevention training, information, equipment and resources to nearly 180,000 area residents
- Operate a 24-hour emergency poison control and technical information hotline serving 38 Ohio counties with services provided by pharmacists and nurses who are certified in poison control information<

- Ranked in the Information Week Top 250 Innovators for the third year in a row
- Completed first implementation phase of Epic, a new system integrating clinical, research and business functions, replacing billing, registration, scheduling, medical records and operating room scheduling systems
- Opened new state-of-the-art data center
- Collaborated with other institutions to develop innovative research data warehouse funded by the National Institutes of Health, which will facilitate research while protecting patient privacy
- Embedding condition-specific quality measures into new electronic medical record

- Cincinnati Children’s establishes its Heart Institute, bringing together clinical care, research and education programs to advance comprehensive care for children with heart disease and develop novel therapeutic avenues for treatment.
- Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus opens in northern Cincinnati, improving access to pediatric emergency services, outpatientsurgery, medical and surgical specialty clinics, and radiology services.
- The FDA approves the Rotarix® rotavirus vaccine developed by Cincinnati Children’s researchers. The vaccine, now available in more than 100 countries, defends against rotavirus gastroenteritis in infants, which can cause severe diarrhea and dehydration.
