Cincinnati Children’s is guided by a short, bold vision:
“To be the leader in improving child health.”
These eight words challenge and inspire us to reach above and beyond.
They inspire our passion to deliver outstanding care and our commitment to innovation.
They challenge us to tackle difficult issues. In the research laboratory and at the patient’s
bedside, we’re constantly seeking new knowledge, new and better ways to care for children.
But we also understand that the work of improving child health does not start and stop at
the hospital’s front door. Quality of life issues, access to care, and the availability of highly
skilled medical professionals are critical factors that have an impact on the health of
children. And so our work must extend beyond hospital walls, into the communities we
serve. That’s the subject of this report to the community.
Together with civic leaders, social service organizations, government agencies, policy makers,
community-based physicians, researchers, educators and child advocates, Cincinnati Children’s
is working to make our community a healthier environment for children and families.
I invite you to read on to learn about the work Cincinnati Children’s is doing in collaboration
with partners across the community to improve the health of children.
