Anna King, Care manager in the Neurology Division at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, volunteered for the Family Advisory Council during April 2006.
"I have always felt I am a patient / family advocate as much as I am a nurse. I want to be involved in the process of change / improvement," Anna said.
Hoping "to better understand families' concerns, therefore improving my scope of nursing practice," Anna noted, "I bring maturity and nursing experience to the table and feel I am respected in the Cincinnati Children's community. I bring a strong work ethic, and I am not at all afraid to speak up about things I believe in, but I'm also open to learning and growth."
Anna has been a nurse for more than 31 years and has been at Cincinnati Children's more than 21 years. She has been married more than 31 years and has two grown daughters.
