On March 22, 2004, the Family Advisory Council was presented with the Innovative Services Award from the Patient Services Intradisciplinary Operations Committee at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

The award celebrates the success of groups that have made an impact on patient care and the way we provide services to patients and families at Cincinnati Children's.

Bill Lecher, RN, clinical director II, Specialty Resource Unit, said, "An environment that promotes family-centered care is very important to our organization. We would not have made the progress we have made to date without the members who have served on our Family Advisory Council over the last two years."

The March meeting was also an opportunity to recognize Family Advisory Council members for their service to the medical center and to say good-bye to those who are rotating off after their years of service. Each member was presented a photo album and recognition certificate.
