Mission and Purpose
Mission Statement
The Family Advisory Network (FAN) exists to promote family-centered care throughout Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center by bringing together all family advisory groups to work together and share lessons learned about creating and sustaining unit- and division-specific family advisory groups.
Purpose Statement
1. To understand the various projects, activities, and outcomes occurring within Cincinnati Children's family advisory groups including facilitating and mentoring newly formed advisory groups
2. To share best practices such as developing parent recruiting strategies, creating a parent database, planning meetings, and/or sharing resources (toolkit) with all family advisory groups
3. To make recommendations to leadership regarding standardizing practices throughout the organization related to the work of family advisory groups.
