In this facilitator's guide we will share a little about our experiences implementing family-centered rounds at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. We don't know the best way for you to implement family-centered rounds in your hospital. We have presented at conferences and conducted workshops across the nation to teach other physicians, nurses and allied health professionals about family-centered rounds. Our experience shows that when physicians, nurses and allied health professionals at a hospital get together to watch the videos and discuss family-centered rounds, they are more likely to implement them.

We wish we could conduct a workshop for each of you. We also wish each of you could visit our hospital to observe how we conduct family-centered rounds and the lessons we have learned since 2001. Since we cannot all get together to learn, we created this facilitator guide to help your team participate in a learning experience at your hospital.
