- We measure the percent of divisions organization wide where new patients are waiting 10 days or less for the third next available new patient appointment at Cincinnati Children's outpatient specialty clinics. (Thirty-one divisions are currently being measured.)
- 3rd Next Available is the industry standard measure, because first and second available appointments are often affected by last minute cancellations, working patients into the schedule, or other events that do not accurately represent the true availability of new patient appointment slots. This measure shows what percentage of our divisions have decreased this wait time to 10 days or less.
