At Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center we gather system level measures that reflect the overall quality and safety of our clinical care delivery system. These measures represent dimensions of team well being:

Turnover rate (nursing only):.

  • Measuring turnover of nurses is one way we monitor overall job satisfaction of our nursing staff.
  • We track the rate at which nurses leave employment at Cincinnati Children's.

Employee injury rate associated with lost work days:

  • We measure the rate of work related injuries experienced by our employees resulting in lost days of work.
  • We use this measure as one indicator of staff well being.
