Children's to Honor Martin Luther King Jr.
CINCINNATI -- Children's Hospital Medical Center will honor the memory of Martin Luther King Jr., with activities Wednesday, Jan. 13, and Friday, Jan. 15, 1999. All events are open to the public. Among the activities are:
Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m., Rev. C. Dennis Edwards of the Southern Missionary Baptist Church will be the guest speaker at an interdenominational service in the Chapel of the Holy Child on the third floor of the Children's Hospital building.
3 p.m.-4 p.m., Martin Luther King Jr. program, featuring guest speakers Jim White and Jennifer Patrick of Global Lead Company. White and Patrick are trainers for Cincinnati Children's diversity initiative. The program will take place in the auditorium of the Children's Hospital Research Foundation.
7 p.m., The first benefit concert for Cincinnati Children's Sickle Cell Center will take place at Southern Missionary Baptist Church, 3556 Reading Road.
