Cincinnati Children's Pediatrician Hosts Radio Talk Show
Thursday, January 21, 1999CINCINNATI -- When people have questions about the health and well-being of children, they can turn to the X Star radio network for advice.
Beginning Feb. 1, Julie Jaskiewicz, M.D., a pediatrician at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati, will host Your Child's Health, a weekly call-in radio talk show that can be heard on the X-Star Radio Network
Your Child's Health will be heard from 10-10:30 a.m. Mondays. The format of the program "will allow for open-ended discussion on a wide range of topics of interest and concern to parents, teachers and others who deal with children," says Dr. Jaskiewicz.
Although the information on Your Child's Health is not intended as a substitute for the advice of a child's personal physician, Dr. Jaskiewicz says she wants the program "to offer people a nice opportunity to ask questions and also to share stories, concerns and solutions to problems with other listeners. I hope to get a dialogue going, so the program will be a down-to-earth chat between listeners and myself."
Dr. Jaskiewicz came to Children's in 1992 from the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. She is an attending physician in Children's Pediatric Primary Care Center. She also is associate director of the residency training program.
Dr. Jaskiewicz had been hosting Your Child's Health on WVXU-FM, Cincinnati, since 1994.
