Health Concerns and International Adoption Focus of Programs at Children's Hospital Medical Center

CINCINNATI -- With international adoption on the rise, the health of these infants and children is of increasing concern. To address these issues, Children's Hospital Medical Center will host a series of five educational programs for individuals considering international adoption.


The programs are appropriate for parents who have adopted internationally, for those considering doing so, and for healthcare professionals who work with these families.


The series, Health Concerns and International Adoption: What You Need to Know, will take place from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Thursdays, April 22, April 29, May 6, May 13 and May 20. All programs will take place in the Alliance Business Center (formerly Jewish Hospital) on Burnet Avenue.

The programs are sponsored by the Family Resource Center of Children's Hospital Medical Center. The resource center assists parents and professionals who have questions or concerns about a child's health and well-being.


The cost of each program is $10 for individuals and $15 for couples. The cost for the entire series is $40 for individuals and $55 for couples. Child care will be available by reservation. Parking will be free in the Alliance Business Center garage.
