Golden Books Bus Tour Comes to Cincinnati Children's March 1, 1999
CINCINNATI -- Golden Books Family Entertainment will promote family literacy at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati.
The number one publisher of children's books in North America will donate 500 books to Cincinnati Children's as part of a 16-city bus tour. The specially designed bus will carry several characters from its treasury of children's books, including Poky Little Puppy, Pat the Bunny and Little Critter.
The event will include a variety of activities designed to encourage reading among children. The bus tour and all activities are meant to promote the first annual Big Little Golden Books read-in Day on September 25 in cities throughout the United States.
The bus tour began March 1 in New York City and will end March 20, 1999, in Little Rock, Ark.
