Teddy Bear Clinic 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., March 18, 1999

CINCINNATI -– Children who have appointments at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati's Pediatric Primary Care Center tomorrow afternoon will have an opportunity to be doctors and nurses from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the annual Teddy Bear Clinic.

Doctors, nurses and other care givers will staff medical play stations, where children will take a teddy bear's blood pressure, check heart rates, measure height and weight, and test vision.

The clinic is part of Children and Healthcare Week, sponsored by the Association for the Care of Children's Health (ACCH). The ACCH, founded in 1965, protects and promotes the health and well-being of children and their families. Children's and Healthcare Week is a program designed to promote health-care policies and practices that are responsive to the unique developmental and psychosocial needs of children and families.

The Teddy Bear Clinic will take place in Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati's Pediatric Primary Care Center, which provides well-child and ill-child care and consultation on an outpatient basis on Children's main campus.
