July 6, 1999 - Kerry Crone, MD, Appointed Director of Neurosurgery at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati
Previously, Dr. Crone was on the staff of The Mayfield Clinic in Cincinnati. He is an associate professor of neurosurgery and pediatrics at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
In his new role, Dr. Crone will oversee a growing pediatric Neurosurgery Department; advancements in clinical practice, including the addition of functional neurosurgery; and the development of a pediatric neurosurgery research program.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Crone received his internship in general surgery, and residency in neurosurgery, at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Bowman-Gray School of Medicine, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
He also was a clinical fellow in pediatric neurosurgery at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and a clinical scholar in neurosurgery at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati.
Dr. Crone's specialty interests include endoscopic surgery, skull base surgery, epilepsy surgery, craniosynostosis, and neuro-oncology.
