Tuesday, November 14, 2000
CINCINNATI -- Friday, Nov. 17, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Children's Hospital Research Foundation of Cincinnati will celeberate the opening of its latest addition: a nine-story tower, offering office and laboratory facilities in such disciplines as immunobiology, infectious diseases, pulmonary biology, imaging research, human genetics, endocrinology, and health policy and clinical effectiveness.
This tower brings research space to 521,000 square feet in five buildings and enables Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati to maintain and strengthen its national leadership in pediatric medical research.
To celebrate completion of the facility, Cincinnati Children's will have an opening event for an invited audience, including media. The event will be held in the lobby of the Children's Hospital Research Foundation.
Video opportunities will be available in research labs. Speakers will include James M. Anderson, president and chief executive officer of Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati, and Thomas Boat, MD, director of the Children's Hospital Research Foundation.
