June 20, 2000 - Charles T. Mehlman, DO, MPH, Selected for Membership in Arthroscopy Association of North America
CINCINNATI -- Charles T. Mehlman, DO, MPH, of Cincinnati, Ohio has been accepted into the Arthroscopy Association of North American (AANA). Dr. Mehlman was selected for this honor at the AANA annual meeting in Miami, Fla.
AANA is composed of 1,600 orthopaedic surgeons who have completed postgraduate training in the use of the arthroscope. Through a combination of fiber optics, a lens system and solid state electronics, arthroscopic surgeons have the ability to diagnose and repair injuries or abnormalities inside human joints.
AANA encourages and supports continuing education in order to improve upon the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. To qualify for membership in AANA, Dr. Mehlman has met the stringent criteria of the organization, which includes documentation of education, experience and technical skills.
Dr. Mehlman graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and is board-certified as an orthopaedic surgeon.
