Eric Wall, M.D., Selected for Membership in Arthroscopy Association of North America

CINCINNATI -- Eric Wall, M.D., sports medicine director at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati, has been accepted into the Arthroscopy Association of North American (AANA). Dr. Wall was selected for this honor at the AANA annual meeting in Miami, Fla.


AANA is composed of 1600 orthopaedic surgeons who have completed postgraduate training in the use of the arthroscope. Through a combination of fiber optics, a lens system and solid state electronics, arthroscopic surgeons have the ability to diagnose and repair injuries or abnormalities inside human joints.


AANA encourages and supports continuing education in order to improve upon the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. To qualify for membership in AANA, Dr. Wall has met the stringent criteria of the organization, which includes documentation of education, experience and technical skills.


Dr. Wall holds an undergraduate degree in Design from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed Medical School (1986) and an orthopaedic residency at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in 1992.


Dr. Wall advanced his orthopedic education with a Spine Biomechanics Fellowship at UCSD and a pediatric orthopaedics fellowship at Los Angeles Children's Hospital. Dr. Wall received his board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in July 1995.
