Sesame Street Characters Visit Cincinnati Children’s
CINCINNATI – If laughter is the best medicine, then on Thursday, April 18 at 3 pm, children at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center will be getting a big dose of just what the doctor ordered. Sesame Street Live's Elmo and Cookie Monster will visit patients at Cincinnati Children's to dispense the unique tender loving care that only they can.
Cincinnati Children's is among the 10 children's medical centers chosen by Hyundai Motor America to receive a special visit from Sesame Street Live performers because of Hyundai's continued support in pediatric cancer research across the country.
A special pre-performance party will also be given in the Hematology / Oncology clinic on Sunday, April 21. Patients attending will receive free tickets for the evening show.
"For over twenty years, more than 46 million children and their families have enjoyed Sesame Street Live performances. We do not want to stop there. We want to be able to touch the lives of every child whether they're able to come to the performances or not," says Vincent Egan, founder of VEE Corporation and Sesame Street Live.
Elmo and Cookie Monster are currently on tour with Sesame Street Live's "Let's Be Friends," which makes a stop at the Firstar Center April 17-21. "Let's Be Friends" is a tribute to some of the most important people in life—our friends. Through singing, dancing, action, and laughter, children learn the value of friendship and how to accept those who aren't exactly like us.
