Mini Golf Course Raises Money for Cincinnati Children's
CINCINNATI - On September 14, Covered Bridge Miniature Golf in Hillsboro, Ohio, will take part in qualifying for the Harris Cup National Miniature Golf Championship. Every dollar raised at Covered Bridge Miniature Golf will benefit Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
This year's championship will take place in Statesboro, Georgia and raise money for the Children's Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for 170 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada. Cincinnati Children's is a Children's Miracle Network affiliate. Through fundraising, the Children's Miracle Network and children's hospitals are able to provide specialized care to all children regardless of a family's ability to pay.
Harris Miniature Golf Courses, Inc., the leading builder of miniature golf courses, developed the Harris Cup National Miniature Golf Championship with the owners of their courses and their charities in mind. Players from around the country qualify for the championship by winning tournaments at their local miniature golf courses (built by Harris). The format for the Harris Cup is similar to that of a tournament played on a regulation 18-hole golf course. The lowest number of strokes per round will determine the winners. In the event of a tie, the individuals will continue playing until a hole is won.
Covered Bridge Miniature Golf is accepting entries into the tournament for $10 per person. Prizes locally include a chance to win $25, $50, $75, or two all-expense paid trips to Statesboro, Georgia, for the championship at Hackers Golf Park. For more information on how to compete locally, contact Bill Musser at 937-393-2448.
