CINCINNATI -- Kenneth Massey has been named president of the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Foundation (CCHF) – the fundraising arm of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
In this capacity, Massey will function as the lead fundraising officer for Cincinnati Children's. Although the CCHF was established in 1990, Massey will be its first full-time president.
"Kenneth Massey will plan and lead a major effort over the coming years designed to meet the needs of our patients and help us achieve our vision of being the leader in improving child health," says James M. Anderson, president and chief executive officer of Cincinnati Children's.
Massey comes to Cincinnati Children's from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where he was vice president for gift planning and foundation relations. In St. Jude's 2002 fiscal year, he was responsible for a 30 percent increase in revenue from foundations, a 33 percent increase in charitable gift annuities and a 64 percent increase in new bequest expectancies.
Prior to joining St. Jude, he held leadership positions in the conservation, real estate and banking industries.
Massey earned a bachelors degree in 1979, master of business administration in 1983 and juris doctor (law degree) in 1983, all at the University of Alabama.
