Radiothon Patient Stories

During the annual Cincinnati Cares for Kids Radiothon, patients, families and staff share their experiences and talk about their journeys on-air. Learn about the amazing work taking place at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center by listening to these touching stories.

Tyler

Tyler woke with a high fever and was rushed to Cincinnati Children's where his body went into septic shock from a severe strep infection.

Alvan

At the age of 16, Alvan and his family moved from Puerto Rico to Cincinnati so he could undergo a liver transplant.

Autumn and Summer

Autumn and Summer are sisters who were both born with Russell-Silver syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.

Benjamin

Diagnosed at birth with CHARGE syndrome, Benjamin has had numerous medical and physical difficulties.

Megan

While on vacation with a friend in Florida, Megan suffered severe injuries in a car accident and was flown to Cincinnati Children's.

Morgan and Riley

Morgan and Riley are two sisters with two very different medical needs. Morgan had cornea transplants to save her sight and Riley had two open heart surgeries.

Will

Doctors discovered Will had a tumor in his abdomen before he was born. He underwent chemotherapy and surgery within a few weeks of birth.
