About

Biography

As a nurse practitioner specializing in neonatology, I want the families of the babies I care for to know that I am their go-to person for any questions or concerns. For families that might have questions for the healthcare team, I will do my best to address their needs quickly to their satisfaction.

While I’ve never had a critically sick child in the hospital, I did have an immediate family member who got very ill and passed away. I know what it’s like to be on the other side as a family member who is scared, worried and trying to navigate and advocate in the complex healthcare system.

I can relate to our patients’ families as they try to stay informed on their child’s care while still working and attending to other commitments. As a neonatal nurse practitioner, I help our families stay up to date and included in decisions made about their baby’s care. I support them as much as I can to help relieve their anxiety and find hope in their situation.

I worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Cincinnati Children’s as a registered nurse for eight years. I loved working in critical care, and the babies were always my favorite patient population. When I decided to go back to school to be a nurse practitioner, becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner seemed like a good fit.

In my free time, I’m a huge Disney fan. I love to visit the theme parks as well as camp with my three kids and extended family. I enjoy watching cooking shows, even though I don’t cook that much.
