Dr. Shaughnessy has seven years of experience as a pediatric academic hospitalist. She has completed the Academic Pediatric Association’s Educational Scholarship Program and Cincinnati Children's Intermediate Improvement Science Series. Her academic efforts have focused on improving handover communication and improving the outcomes of pediatric postoperative patients through standardized medical management. She is pursuing a master of science in health care management from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is currently the associate division director for clinical operations for the Division of Hospital Medicine.
