Dr. Solan has been a part of the Training Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) since 2007 as a resident, chief resident and now a fellow in Hospital Medicine with additional support as a National Research Service Award (NRSA) fellow. During her time as a chief resident, she piloted a trial targeting resident handoffs and patient safety in the setting of the new 2011 resident duty hours. She is currently enrolled in a Masters in Medical Education Program through the University of Cincinnati to further develop her expertise in resident education. She is a site co-investigator for the IIPE-PRIS Accelerating Safe Signouts (I-PASS) study. Her research agenda for fellowship focuses on transitions of care and handoffs from the inpatient to outpatient setting.
