Born and raised in Cincinnati, Zachary Berrens, MD, MPH, attended Xavier University for his BS in Biology. After graduating, he obtained his MPH in Hospital and Molecular Epidemiology from the University of Michigan. He then moved back home to go to medical school at the University of Cincinnati. He was thrilled to match at CCHMC for residency to continue his training at an excellent pediatrics program, and to be near his family and serve the community in which he grew up.
