Biography

Becky Cook, RN, MSN, CPNP, is a trauma nurse practitioner at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Prior to this position, Becky worked as a nurse practitioner in Same Day Surgery for one year and case manager for Pediatric Rehabilitation.

Becky's responsibilities include coordinating and managing the care for traumatically injured children and providing education services for patients and families. She assists in monitoring the PI system for trauma services, including outcomes and system / process issues. Becky also provides and coordinates educational opportunities for staff nurses, surgical residents, social workers and child life specialists with regards to trauma.

Becky participates in multiple trauma-related committees, such as Trauma Resuscitation and Trauma Psychosocial Team. She is also a member of the Magnet Steering Committee and co-chairs the Society of Trauma Nurses Advance Practice Special Interest Group.
