Molecular genetics of upper respiratory tract anomalies
Dr. Ravi Elluru obtained his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas and completed a residency in otolaryngology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. After residency Dr. Elluru completed an accredited fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology with an emphasis on treating children with disorders of the upper aerodigestive tract. Dr. Elluru enjoys treating a broad variety of ear, nose, and throat conditions in children.
Dr. Elluru has been part of the Hemangioma and Vascular Malformations Center for the last nine years. He helps the team manage vascular anomalies of the airway, head and neck. He has expertise in laser ablation and surgical excision of head and neck vascular anomalies, and facial reconstruction. His research interests include developing algorithms for treatment of complex head and neck vascular anomalies, and in creating diagnostic modalities to measure the burden of disease in children with vascular anomalies.
