Kelly R. Greve, PT, DPT, PhD

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy (PT), primarily treating individuals with cerebral palsy (CP) receiving intensive therapy interventions. I am a CP mentor for our clinical team and a member of the interdisciplinary CP Clinic team.

I became interested in the medical field in junior high. I volunteered at my local hospital to become familiar with different medical departments. As I learned about PT, I saw how patients progressed and how therapists problem solved to move patients forward. From that point on, I knew I wanted to become a PT. My love for children moved me quickly to the pediatric population.

I am also a clinical scientist/researcher studying interventions for infants with congenital muscular torticollis and individuals with CP. Some of the specific interventions being studied involve neuromuscular electrical stimulation and pediatric intensive therapy programs. My areas of focus include translating evidence-based PT care from research to the clinician to optimize patient outcomes and understanding of PT interventions during episodes of care. Caregivers continue to teach me the value of PT, facilitators and barriers to completing recommended PT, and socio-ecological factors associated with receiving recommended care.

I collaborate with clinicians and researchers at Cincinnati Children's, throughout the United States and internationally. I am honored to have been awarded the Distinguished Physical Therapy Researcher Award from Mount Saint Joseph University (2021) and was named Physical Therapist of the Month by the Ohio Physical Therapy Association (2019).
