Megan C. Hennigan, MD

I’m a pediatrician focused on general pediatrics, working with children in the CHECK (Comprehensive Health Evaluations for Cincinnati’s Kids) Foster Care Center. We are a multi-disciplinary clinic supporting all patients' and families' physical and mental well-being. Multi-disciplinary, collaborative care provides the best support to assist the vulnerable patient populations we serve.

Growing up with a chronic medical condition and spending much time in the hospital and outpatient clinics inspired me to become a doctor. I enjoyed my pediatric rotations during my third year of medical school and decided to pursue pediatrics as my career.

I am honored to have won the Hidden Gem Award (2022), given quarterly by the Office of Academic Affairs and Career Development to recognize continually making exceptional contributions to Cincinnati Children’s or the local, regional or national community through clinical, research, educational, advocacy or community work, or improving diversity, equity, inclusion and health equity. The CHECK Clinic has been awarded the Clinical Care Achievement Team Award (2021) from the Office of Academic Affairs and Career Development, and it was a finalist for the Dr. Curtis Sheldon Compassionate Caregiver Award (2023) at Cincinnati Children’s Schwartz Rounds.

When I’m not working, I enjoy painting, reading, gardening and decorating. I would love to be a decorator for Hallmark Christmas movies!
