Julie D. Knapp, RN, APRN, FNP, received her BSN from Capital University in 1992. She worked as an RN on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Arthur G. James Cancer Institute at Ohio State University. She proceeded to work at Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, as an RN in the emergency room ICU and the outpatient surgery center. In 1999 she moved to obtain her Master's of Science and Family Nurse Practitioner degrees at D'Youville College.
During that time, Julie continued to work as a pediatric RN in the Neonatal ICU at Sister's Hospital in Buffalo, New York. She graduated with honors from D'Youville College in 2001.
Prior to accepting a position at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Julie worked as a nurse practitioner with emotionally and behaviorally challenged children in the Buffalo school system. She also worked for Buffalo Rheumatology and for Digestive Diseases and Nutrition at Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo. Julie is board certified as a family nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) since 2003.
