Working with children is even more special as I teach them life skills in movement and activity, as well as help them form a positive association with exercise and self-care that can last a lifetime.

About

Biography

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in pediatric orthopaedic and sports physical therapy, pain education and volleyball athletes. I am also a researcher studying the recovery of adolescents post-concussion.

I use a holistic approach to care, considering multiple patient factors, including their environment, relationships, education, goals, mental and emotional state, the social and recreational impact of pain and any fears or concerns the patient may have. Pain and rehabilitation do not take place in isolation. For this reason, I treat the patient, not the diagnosis.

Physical therapists have the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and their families. Because of this, we understand how your individual rehab needs fit into the larger context of your values, priorities and life. Working with children is even more special as I teach them life skills in movement and activity, as well as help them form a positive association with exercise and self-care that can last a lifetime.

Research shows that the success of physical therapy experience partially depends upon one’s own expectations. Please do not hesitate to ask me questions, provide feedback and share your experience honestly. The more I can align my treatment with the patient’s values and create a shared action plan, the better the results.

When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, puzzles, shooting hoops and hiking. I also like to try out new restaurants and cheer for the Bearcats, Bengals, Reds and FCC! But most importantly, I love doing it all with my wife, family and friends!
