Cincinnati Children’s had the best people Alexandria Lutley, MD, met during the whole interview trail. On the night before her interview, the airline lost her luggage and she got stuck in an ice storm on the way from the airport. The director of the peds/neuro program and all of the house staff were so helpful - the office ladies sent emails around asking people for extra interview clothes in her size. Luckily, her luggage arrived that morning, but if not she would have had a new outfit to wear. Dr. Lutley has come to realize that is just the way it is here. People go out of their way to help, no matter what the situation may be.
In addition to the fantastic collegial atmosphere that their chiefs help them foster, they get a fabulous evidenced-based, quality improvement-based education with enough depth in the bread-and-butter pediatrics and enough zebra diagnoses to keep it exciting.
