About

Biography

I’m a pediatrician specializing in general adolescent medicine, eating disorders and transition to adult care. My care philosophy includes listening to patients to really get to know them as individuals. In adolescence, biological and emotional changes provide unique opportunities to promote lifelong health.

My interest in medicine stems from being drawn to science throughout school and having a high school science teacher who inspired me to consider becoming a physician. In college, I was close to becoming a high school chemistry teacher as I was drawn to the adolescent population. However, I went to medical school since that was my initial goal. After medical school, I trained in internal medicine and pediatrics because I enjoyed dealing with medically complicated patients of all ages. I chose adolescent medicine as my specialty because I have always been drawn to this age group.

In my free time, I enjoy running and have run three marathons. I also enjoy traveling with my family, and I have a love for turtles and dragonflies.
