Informatics Manager of Clinical Laboratories

We are seeking an Informatics Manager of Clinical Laboratories.

You will lead, plan, direct, implement, coordinate, and improve functions of all information technology and associated workflow related to laboratory operations. This involves all associated functions within the Clinical Laboratories, as well as relationships across the Medical Center and the community.

You will provide leadership and management of the Laboratory Informatics group and associated staff. You will also provide guidance and direction for the wide LIS and all associated applications and workflow.

You will work in our Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. We provide diagnostic services, including the pathological evaluation of all biopsy material, autopsies, and a full array of clinical laboratory services, including collection techniques such as phlebotomy, sweat chloride collection and culture collection.

Our methodologies are oriented to children’s needs. Core clinical laboratories include hematology, coagulation, chemistry, diagnostic infectious disease testing, inborn errors of metabolism and phlebotomy/processing. We use state-of-the-art equipment and instrumentation. In addition, we are growing our laboratory infrastructure to better serve the needs of our patient population.

 

Qualities We're Seeking

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 5 year experience in a hospital setting with a focus on information technology
  • A proven track record of managing people, prioritizing tasks
  • Project management skills to develop, plan and track projects

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Masters degree
  • Experience with Cerner Classic and/or Cerner Millennium
  • Experience related to clinical laboratories
