What is the most rewarding aspect of your job as a child life specialist?
I'd have to say that the most rewarding aspect of my job as a child life specialist is the teaching of and helping a child cope with a procedure.
It not only makes the experience less traumatizing for the child, but is also a way of building a child's self-esteem.
It's rewarding to watch a child move from a place of fear to mastering a situation.
