What is Epic?
Epic is a core clinical and financial information system. In Epic, health records are comprehensive, patient-centered, and integrated for use across the continuum of care. When Epic is fully implemented, information will flow more smoothly between units and from inpatient to outpatient care. The system will allow access to the same patient records from anywhere, including neighborhood locations.
