Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) are a vital part of our healthcare team at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. We value them as expert leaders who are dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional and developmental needs of infants, children and adolescents.

As an APN at Cincinnati Children's, you will have the opportunity to work with more than 250 nationally certified APNs in more than 30 specialty areas. Some of these areas include Hematology / Oncology, Anesthesia, Cardiology, Radiology, Adolescent Medicine, Trauma and much more.

You will provide quality, cost-effective services and clinical care through education, research, and state-of-the-art technology and programs.

Qualities We Are Seeking

We are seeking clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners or nurse anesthetists who are registered nurses with master's degrees, and who meet Ohio's licensing criteria. In addition to these qualifications, ideal candidates will:

Possess relevant experience working within a pediatric medical setting environment
Possess the skill set to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary health teams to provide primary care or acute / chronic health care to pediatric patients, including clinical management for a specified specialty population

Development and Growth Opportunities

We offer all education needed for certification free of charge. We also offer educational programs for professional development; these include but are not limited to an APN Leadership Development Course and APN councils which help to determine decisions affecting APN practice.
