Pharmacy Technicians
We are looking for Pharmacy Technicians to:
- Work in our Division of Pharmacy, where we offer expertise in drug and dosage regimen selection, especially in monitoring and interpreting therapeutic and toxic drug concentrations
- Assist Pharmacists with preparation of medication to infant, child and adolescent patients
- Prepare unit dose, ambulatory, and sterile dosage forms for dispensing
- Fill physician orders
- Compound extemporaneous products
- Fill and deliver medication carts to patient care units
- Maintain inventory and stock levels, ensuring that work areas are organized
- Answer/screen phone calls from the department and customers
Qualities We're Seeking
Required qualifications include:
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or Certification in Pharmacy Technology required within 210 days of employment
Preferred qualifications include:
- One year previous pharmacy related experience
