We are currently seeking research assistants, clinical research coordinators, and postdoctoral research fellows.

Research Assistant

The purpose of this role is to conduct independent and directed scientific studies and research in support of a principal investigator's research. Duties involve performing experiments and recording data, lab administration, researching and improving methodologies, performing training of other laboratory personnel and customer service duties. Research assistants are needed in a variety of STEM fields.

Required for Research Assistant II

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • May require an associate degree, vocational training, apprenticeships or equivalent

Required for Research Assistant III

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of directly-related experience OR master's degree in a related field

Clinical Research Coordinator

The purpose of this role is to be involved in the healthcare science that determines the safety and effectiveness (efficacy) of medications, devices, diagnostic products and treatment regimens intended for human use. These may be used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis or for relieving symptoms of a disease. To ensure quality, human subject safety and data integrity of clinical trials conducted within the assigned department. Duties may include recruitment, enrollment, and retention of subjects, data management, communication with relevant parties, and regulatory documentation and compliance. Clinical research coordinators are needed in psychology, sociology, epidemiology and neuroscience.

Required for Clinical Research Coordinator II

Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Associate

Postdoctoral training is an extension of doctoral research that develops independent research investigators. Postdoctoral research fellows at Cincinnati Children’s are valued for their unique interests and strengths to advance research, medicine and scientific discovery. Work happens collaboratively across specialties to address some of the biggest challenges we face today in improving child health. The institution’s commitment to research push our team of faculty, postdocs and support staff to explore the boundaries of what is possible, leading to significant medical breakthroughs.

Postdoctoral training spans basic, translational, computational, and epidemiology research in developmental biology, human genetics, immunobiology, infectious diseases/virology, cancer and blood diseases, cardiovascular biology, neonatology, pulmonary biology, gastroenterology, biomedical informatics, biostatistics and epidemiology, and imagine research.
