Career Opportunity: Research Assistant IV (Clinical Functional Image Analyst)

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center seeks a Research Assistant IV (Clinical Functional Image Analyst) to: Participate in the development of new assays and testing of new protocols. Coordinate Clinical fMRI studies including epilepsy and neurosurgery patients. Analyze fMRI data, perform statistical and graphical analysis of data. Provide 3 dimensional reconstruction and relevant co-registration with anatomy, PET, CT, and other modalities. Modify existing fMRI paradigms and analysis methods as necessary to enable application in a clinical setting. Assist in training postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and junior laboratory personnel in laboratory techniques and equipment. Author material for procedure manuals, reports, publications, journal articles, and abstracts. Maintain currency in field through continuing education, literature review, and seminars and communicate advances to the laboratory when appropriate. Program the Bruker 3T and 7T MRI systems using ParaVision. Analyze and interpret fMRI results online. Transfer image data in method compatible with BrainLab. Must have Masters degree in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering and 3 years experience which must have included: working with IDL to interpret and manipulate DICOM images, perform quantitative MR image analysis, and develop user friendly graphical user interface (GUI) application for medical image analysis; MRI scanner software and pulse programming; and preparation of data, figures and text for grant applications for funding of research in medical imaging.
