Cardiovascular Core Imaging Research Laboratory
This is an excellent opportunity in our Cardiology Department for someone seeking to broaden their skills to include planning & implementation of clinical research protocols. You will work in the only dedicated pediatric research echocardiography laboratory in the country.
Development Opportunities
Your career development will be supported by the director of the laboratory. You will have opportunities to present research at national meetings and write research into scientific manuscripts.
Qualities We’re Seeking
Required qualifications include:
- Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology
Preferred qualifications include:
- Two years college coursework in Biology, Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent
- Current registry as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Pediatric Echocardiography experience
Echocardiography Laboratory
We are seeking a full time Cardiac Sonographer for our Echocardiography Laboratory to:
- Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations
- Learn to assist in analyzing the data for interpretation within the Cardiology department
- Work Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend and call rotation.
About our Echocardiography Laboratory
Our Echocardiography Laboratory is one of the busiest in the country, performing close to 10,000 echocardiograms each year. All aspects of pediatric cardiovascular disease are evaluated in the laboratory including complex congenital heart disease and acquired cardiovascular disease such as rheumatic fever and Kawasaki Disease. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound imaging systems.

- Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology

- One year previous pharmacy related experience
- Two years college coursework in Biology, Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent
- Current registry as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
- Pediatric Echocardiography experience
