Transport Team Paramedics and EMTs

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is looking for paramedics and emergency medical technicians to join our Transport Team.

You will work in a state-of-the-art mobile intensive care unit environment, transporting critically ill newborn and pediatric patients from local, regional, national and international referral sites.

You will be part of a team specially trained in newborn and pediatric intensive care, emergency and transport medicine, flight physiology and trauma. You will help provide the highest level of quality intensive care possible to the critically ill or injured child during transport.

You will help serve 30 hospitals in our primary service area as well as selected referral hospitals outside of the region. You will provide care at Cincinnati Children’s, within referral institutions, and within ambulances and aircraft - - all on 24/7 basis using both in-house and on-call teams.

Qualities We're Seeking

EMT candidates must have:

 

  • Current driver’s license and good driving record
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ohio Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification
  • National Registered EMT and eligible for certification in Kentucky required
  • One year of full-time experience as pre-hospital, or inter-hospital Emergency Medical Technician - Basic, or equivalent
  • Five years of ambulance driving experience
  • Current CPR training

Paramedic candidates must have:

  • Transport Team Photo 1Current driver’s license and good driving record
  • Current Ohio State Paramedic Certification
  • National Registered Paramedic
  • Five years of experience as an EMT, and 2-3 years as a paramedic
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 3 months of employment
  • CPR certification (or obtain during orientation)
