For the second consecutive year Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center was ranked among the Best Employers in Ohio by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
Awards were presented in Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at a special ceremony during a meeting of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Co-sponsors of the program were the Ohio Society of Human Resource Managers and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Cincinnati Children's ranked 9th of the 10 large organizations honored, moving up from its 10th place ranking in 2007.
Winners are determined by answers provided to a questionnaire about policies and benefits, and by responses to a survey sent to a random sampling of employees.
The "large company" category includes employers with 250 employees or more. Cincinnati Children's is the 4th largest employer in Cincinnati, with more than 10,000 employees.
