Additional Program Information
- "Smart Speaking" Program is high-end for highly educated individuals and is specifically geared to Pronunciation Training and Accent Reduction for foreign scientists and doctors.
- Approaches more scientifically than others: individual tutoring includes phonelogical assessment followed by 14 hours of customized training in two-hour blocks for 7 weeks @ $3,900.
- They will further negotiate pricing to secure the relationship. They don't want that to be the deal-breaker.
- Can work with a group if there can be agreement on scheduling: 3 people @$2,900 per person and up to 5 people, but only if their native language is the same. (Prices quoted to me via phone call are less than those in their printed literature.)
- Verifiable success in medical settings. Reference for this is Kettering Medical. Other references include P&G and have references from Chinese clientele. Have had clients travel to Cincinnati for this training from as far away as upstate NY.
- Several faculty members in XU stable. They are specialists in accent coaching, certified in highly-successful method of foreign accent modification pioneered by Dr. Arthur Compton.
- Will come to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
- Unique program also available called "Style Switching" for individuals with strong accents from India and Africa (who would be insulted by being sent to an English as a Second Language program).
