Combined Residency Programs at Cincinnati Children's

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati offer several combined residency programs. Students in these programs will receive training with both children and adults.

Human Genetics / Pediatrics

Approved by The American Board of Pediatrics and The Board of Human Genetics, this five-year combined accredited program in Medical Genetics enables a physician to become board-certified in both genetics and pediatrics.

Internal Medicine / Pediatrics

This combined, four-year residency training program enables a physician to take care of the medical problems of adults and children and to become board-certified in both specialties.

Neurology / Pediatrics

Graduates from this five-year residency training program will be board eligible in Pediatrics and in Neurology with special competency in Child Neurology.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation / Pediatrics

This five-year combined residency program helps prepare the resident to care for children with special needs, as well as others with musculoskeletal problems.

Psychiatry / Child Psychiatry / Pediatrics

This five-year integrated program qualifies graduates for board certification in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Triple Board).
