Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Residency Education Opportunities

The Psychiatry Division at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center offers two residency programs:

The Psychiatry Division at Cincinnati Children's is the main teaching center for the University of Cincinnati Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child Psychiatry Training Program.

In association with Cincinnati Children's, the University of Cincinnati offers one of the most well-established Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training programs in the country. Residents complete three years of training in general psychiatry before joining our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program for two additional years.

The Triple Board Resident Training Program is one of approximately 10 such programs in the country which leads to board eligibility in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child psychiatry.

In addition, Cincinnati Children's is a training site for general psychiatry residents who come to Cincinnati Children's for their child psychiatry rotation.
